Mahjong is a hugely popular games all over Asia, most particularly in China, Korea and Japan. In the late 1990s Mah jong's popularity spread to European countries led largely by the emergence of online MahJong rooms.
Mahjong can be played with a set of cards, or more traditionally, with tiles. Played outside or in gaming halls, finding where to play Mahjong has traditionally been difficult for Chinese and other Asian players in European countries, due to the stigma often placed on any form of game in which money is often exchanged. However, the rapid growth of online gaming of Mah-Jong mean that finding where to play MahJong is easier than ever.
